CHAIN REACTION PERFORMANCE
Doug Kanegawa (Night Club Promoter) has recently suffered a stroke and is in the hospital but is recovering from what I last heard.
The night went very well with performances from Rhythm Tribe, The Visionaries (Rap Group), and Perry Ferrel (Janes Addiction).
Rhythm Tribe's acoustic set was received extremely well in the night club environment. The acoustic set was unique and the quality of there
performance was unsurpassed. Thomas and Paul performed with there classic Sol Moderno style with there new Acid Latin sound.
When Thomas and Paul performed they brought a new element to the game with brims, baggies, and whole lot of American Puerto Rican element to there sound. Paul demonstrated his unique eclectic drum beat strumming technique that made the duet sound full and big as if
there were percussionist and a drummer on stage with them. Thomas played a classic innovative latin rhythm handed down from father to son
being that thomas and paul are third generation guitar players on there dads side. There dad being from Puerto Rico his latin rhythm has been
handed down. With all this said the performance at the Vanguard was completely refreshing and new.

The "The Visionaries" and "CHAIN REACTION" on stage together!

The
"The Visionaries" (rap group) came on and at one point in there show the DJ knowing of Thomas and Paul being
O.G. Chain Reaction opened up a spot for Thomas and Paul to come out and get down dancing on stage with them.
The group loved it and the crowed dug it.
Chain Reaction brought the house down with there dance performance.
Paul "Cool Pockets" performed his unique style of popping that he has created over the last 10 years
called
"Open Hand" that has to do with allot of moving around with jumps and spins. Thomas "T-Bopper" came out hard with his style of
"
Cross Over Locking" that he made up back in 1974 and it still hold major weight today.
